Western Days
Old Town Temecula celebrates Western Days every May with a weekend full of events honoring its heritage. Highlights include calf roping demonstrations, a chili cook-off, western music, a high noon shoot-out and robbery, stagecoach rides, and humorous skits.

Ralph Love Plein Air Festival
The Ralph Love Plein Air Festival is a chance for avid artists of all ages to try their hand at street painting on Main Street in Old Town. The event honors Ralph Love, a Temecula native who painted and taught painting from his 'Art Shack' starting in the mid-fifties. Artists paint "en plain air"; in the open air as opposed to in the studio, and emphasize scenes from everyday life. There is no fee for the event, and artists will compete for various awards. Certain streets in Old Town will be closed while amateur and professional artists paint giant murals on the asphalt.

Festival of the Arts
The Plein Air Festival is now held in conjunction with the Temecula Festival of the Arts weekend. Art lovers can roam the streets and enjoy a variety of booths of local fine artists.
